Open Blog Post on the Applications of Supply Chain Management

First off, I would like to apologize for writing this post now. Well, my blog post on the practical applications of Supply Chain Management dealt with the movement of bottled water products and how they are made, transported, and finally distributed into vending machines. From this whole process of making the bottled waters to distributing to factories where they take care of shipping the bottled waters to other factories, negotiating prices, paying the people in the factories, and finally distributing the bottled waters in the vending machines, there are many things that I learned about this very long and tedious process. Firstly,  the logistics, planning, and distributing of the bottled waters are all the responsibilities that come with a supply chain manager. Through this process, the supply chain manager is solely responsible for the entire process of making the bottled waters to distributing to factories where they take care of shipping the bottled waters to other factories, negotiating prices, paying the people in the factories, and finally distributing the bottled waters in the vending machines to be done effectively, efficiently, and most importantly successfully! The dealings of logistics, planning, and authorizing is the task of the supply chain manager. It is the supply chain manager who figures out how these bottled waters will be distributed into the vending machines. From this blogging post, I was able to watch/observe the entire process of how a product is being made, moved, and finally distributed to its planned destination. It was so interesting to see how everything was able to work out so effectively and efficiently! I cant wait until I learn more about this complex and logical process!
