    Answer : It has become a "hot topic" in the last 15 years. Every company today either sources globally, sells globally, or competes with some company that does. Thus, global supply chain management represents a central area of focus for many businesses and business schools today.

2. Question: How complex is GCSM?
    Answer: This field is diffuse and complex. Many methods and perspectives on GSCM have emerged from logistics, operations, marketing, management, economics, sociology, information systems, and international relations.
